These terms are a contract between you and Kindred regarding your use of the Kindred mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
You must not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law or by a prior Kindred enforcement action.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account, the accuracy of your profile, and the security of the credentials you use to sign in.
You may not create more than one account, impersonate another person, or transfer your account to anyone else.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, or via the public deletion request page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or attempt to coerce another member.
Post content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, illegal, or that infringes on someone else's rights.
Impersonate another person, misrepresent your age or identity, or create fake or spam profiles.
Solicit money, goods, services, or any commercial transaction from other members.
Attempt to extract data via scraping, automation, or reverse engineering, or otherwise interfere with normal operation of the Service.
Evade enforcement actions (for example, by creating a new account after a previous account was removed).

Subscriptions and billing

Kindred offers Gold and Platinum auto-renewing monthly subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Current pricing and features are shown on the Premium screen inside the app.
Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
You manage and cancel subscriptions through Apple (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Subscriptions). Apple and Google do not allow Kindred to cancel store subscriptions on your behalf.
Refunds, where available, are issued by Apple or Google under their respective policies. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except where required by law.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos, text, and other content you post. You grant Kindred a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content to operate the Service — including showing your profile to potential matches, retaining messages so the recipient can read them, and processing photos for moderation. This license ends when you delete the content or the account, except where retention is required for safety, billing, or legal reasons described in our Privacy Policy.

Moderation and termination

Kindred may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove an account where we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that doing so is appropriate to protect users, comply with the law, or prevent abuse of the Service. We may also remove specific content that violates these terms or our community standards. You may appeal an enforcement action by emailing support@kindredlove.app.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Kindred does not guarantee that you will find a match, that other users have represented themselves accurately, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users — including any decisions to meet in person, share contact information, or share other personal details.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kindred and its officers, directors, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Kindred's total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid Kindred for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in a class action against Kindred.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
